Range of Needs

Barons Down Nursing Home is registered to provide nursing and personal care for those aged under and over sixty-five, diagnostic screening procedures and treatment of disease, disorder or injury.

Individuals with Learning Disabilities or Dementia with nursing needs, may be admitted following an assessment, providing their needs can be safely met.

If a certain medical condition dictates a specialist diet, this can be catered for. We work closely with the Health Authority Dietician.

Service Users with supra-pubic and urethral catheters can be cared for and the catheter changed within the home by RGNs trained to do so. The needs of Service Users with PEG feeds can also be met.

Subcutaneous fluid infusions can also be administered if prescribed.
Several RGNs are trained to carry out venepuncture should blood tests be required.
